Two Milwaukee McDonald's are in the midst of complete makeovers.

Independently owned stores at 420 E. Capitol Dr. and 2455 W. Wisconsin Ave. will be completely rebuilt.  The Capitol Drive location is owned by Debbie Allen and the Wisconsin Avenue restaurant, located just west of Marquette University, is owned by Robert Pyles of the MacPyles Corporation.

Pyles' location was a signature store with its Blue and Gold Marquette theme. The updated look will go back to the standard McDonald's colors but will house Marquette memorabilia inside.  Both locations will have the new, sleeker design that many locations have adopted.

The Wisconsin Avenue location, according to a McDonald's spokesperson, is scheduled for a grand reopening on  Jan. 17, and the Capitol Drive location is targeting Jan. 20.  Both are open during remodeling.
