La Merenda snuffs smoking
Melissa Cataldo of La Merenda, 125 E. National Ave., informs OnMilwaukee.com that the Walker's Point eatery, which opened in February, will go smoke free as of Monday, Oct. 1.
"We've realized our building cannot support a smoking and nonsmoking section without smoke travelling into the dining room and disrupting our customer's dining experience."

Yes! I love it! A business-owner, not government, deciding what's best for their business!

It's nice when privately owned business exercise their rights to decide whether to allow smoking or not, rather than the govenment dictating how they operate. Is the lack of smoke going to make it less loud though? Great place but it's a huge echochamber.
