Summer is short. So, why wait until Friday or Saturday to enjoy a night out?  Area restaurants are offering plenty of mid-week specials.

Here’s just a sampling of what you can enjoy.

Tuesdays

Enjoy bratwurst or hot dogs serve with corn on the cob and homemade chips for $5.95 at O’Lydia’s, 338 S. 1st St. Pair your meal with $2 domestic bottles from 5 p.m. to close.

Get your fried fish taco fish at St. Paul Fish Company in the Milwaukee Public Market, where you can get two delicious tacos for just $5.

It’s also two-for-one burger night at The Loaded Slate, 1137 N. Old World 3rd St. Buy any burger on the menu at regular price and get a second for free. 

Wednesdays

It’s chicken and waffles night at Ashley’s Que, 124 W. National Ave. Take a seat on the patio and enjoy a cool drink along with their amazing chicken and waffles for just $8.99.

Enjoy barbequed, smoked and grilled delights, paired with a selection of delicious beers, on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer at Meritage, 5921 W Vliet St.

Head to Hinterland Erie St. Gastropub, 222 E. Erie St. for $10 Pinn Oak Ridge Farms lamb gyros with Hidden Springs feta and fries. Wash it down with a pint of beer at $1 off.

Or opt for Burger Wednesdays at Bavette La Boucherie, 330 E. Menomonee St., where they’ll be offering up gourmet grass-fed burgers topped with flavors like green garlic pesto, blue cheese and roasted grapes or pimento cheese, bacon and picked jalapeño aioli for $13.50.

Thursdays

Every Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. is Offal Happy hour at Bavette La Boucherie, 330 E. Menomonee St. Enjoy $5 glasses of wine and $1 off beer as you snack on small plates of the "odd bits" priced at $5 each.

Or make it a tapas night at Antigua, 5823 W. Burnham St. Enjoy four delicious tapas for only $25.00, and top shelf margaritas for $6 each.

Get your sushi on at Umami Moto, 718 N. Milwaukee St., at Insane Sushi Thursday when sushi rolls start at $5 and small plates start at just $3.
