Nessun Dorma
2778 N. Weil St., (414) 264-8466
Riverwest's Nessun Dorma is cozy, inviting, urban and affordable with a medium-sized menu featuring foodie-approved appetizers, soups, sandwiches and nightly specials. Nessun features an extensive selection of wine, beer and liquor.
Menu: Italian-nouveau.
Price: Inexpensive.
When to go: Any night is a fine time for Nessun Dorma. It works as the setting for a special occasion or as a place to grab a quick bite.
Dress: Nessun Dorma is a quaint neighborhood place, so most patrons dress casually. You would not feel out of place, however, wearing something a little dressier.
Don't miss: Tuesday nights feature $2 pints of Riverwest Stein. Also, the formaggio sandwich is a favorite for many Nessun diners.
Parking: Street parking only.

I've been meaning to try this place for quite some time now. Thanks for the reminder. It's just too bad big, bad, Evan isn't still behind the wood.

Ive seen all types at Nessum, and considering the neighborhood, of course you are going to have hipsters abound. The only thing i don't like about Nessum is the size of their menu. There are alot of places in town with small kitchens that have larger menus than ND, and it would be nice of them to open the menu a little bit. Great beer, wine and liquor selection, fantastic appetizers, but would like to see a bit more on the main courses. If you've never been, you have to go, but once you go 3 or 4 times, you run out of things to try.

Cozy place, great beer selection, filled with annoying hipsters. Don't show up unless you're wearing a faded billed hat, some sort of scarf, a raggedy argyle sweater, and skinny jeans.

They have one of the best selections of bourbon in Milwaukee, too.
