Refuge Café has announced that it will open a new location in the lobby of the Catholic Financial Life Building at 1102 W. Wells St.

The cafe, which has its sights on opening in May, will offer up its signature fruit and vegetable smoothies, along with stuffed avocados and peppers and whole grain wraps made with hormone free and antibiotic free chicken or tuna and fresh vegetables.

Refuge Cafe owner Joshua Janis says he's excited for the cafe to be a part of the vibrant Marquette University campus, as well as in proximity to the Aurora Sinai Medical Center and countless other businesses.

"We offer delicious and quality options for people on the go," he says. "And Refuge prides itself on the quality of its products. Our menu and mission are unique in Milwaukee ... and we’re proud of that!"

The new location will offer café seating, along with a patio for guests to enjoy during clement weather.

The Marquette University campus location will be the fourth for the locally owned and operated cafe, which also has locations in Bay View at 422 E. Lincoln Ave., Downtown at the Milwaukee Athletic Club and in the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
