The Humboldt Bridge is open and now Stubby's Pub and Grub, 2060 N. Humboldt Ave., is set to swing open its doors, too.

The newest member of the Zarletti Restaurant Group (which also owns Zarletti and Rustico) opens Thursday night at 6 p.m.

Stubby's, which fills the space formerly occupied by Bayou, boasts that it has "some of the best" barbecue in town and will feature 53 beers on tap.

It's nice to see something opening in this stretch of Humboldt that had seemed to hold promise before falling silent with the extended bridge work. When Bel Air Cantina opens across the river, perhaps Humboldt again will have some bustle.

There is parking in the lot beneath the restaurant and on the street on Riverboat Road.

Check out Stubby's on Facebook here.
