Two new establishments got the green light -- in the form of tavern licenses -- and will soon open on the East Side.

A new restaurant called The Eatery on Farwell will move into the old Pepe's Rockin' Taco Shack space, 2012-14 N. Farwell Ave.

Also, Stubby's -- owned by Brian Zarletti -- will replace Bayou, 2060 N. Humboldt Ave. An instrumental music application was approved for Stubby's, as well.
