The Cheel, a Himalayan restaurant at 105 S. Main St. in Thiensville, is raising funds to support victims of this weekend's earthquake in Nepal through a program called "Hope For Nepal."

The earthquake, which hit the country on Saturday, claimed the lives of almost 4,000 people. Thousands more are trapped or still missing.

Owner Barkha Limbu Daily has family in the area, all of whom, fortunately, survived.

The Cheel has so far raised $2,000 of its $10,000 goal. Go here to donate or to find out more information.

"We thank all of you who have supported us thus far and those of you who will support us in the future," says Daily.
