Drew Olson's story about Habanero got me thinking about the places I keep meaning to try. Although we dine out more than a lot of people we know, we have a pretty strict budget and that means our options can be limited. But also limiting is the fact that we want to make sure we enjoy where we go, so we tend to go back to the same places. We're not unique in this.
Here are five places I keep meaning to try (in no particular order) ...

I thought Nanakusa was very overpriced. I went with a group of 6 for sushi. We really didn't have that much food and our bill came out to $60/person!

Try Eddie Martinis appetizers in the bar room. You get treated like a king there also, and it is a good way to sample the food. And you don't need reservations that way---I love doing that!

my fav's are older, because as of late, I've been trying all the new ones. My list is: Lake Park Bistro, Five O'Clock Steak House on State Street, Coquette Cafe, Three Brothers, Sake Tumi. All based on recommendations from friends. Like I said, been too busy trying all the new ones!

Hit Coast for brunch - they have a set menu (not buffet style thank god) and it's shockingly really good. Add in the chocolate fountain at the end for dessert and I was suprised how good that place was.

I thought the food at Coast was overpriced and not very good. After dinner, I thought, I could have an awesome steak at Mason Street or Capital Grille for the same price. I would just save you cash for Eddie Martini's. That is on my list too.
