We went to Coa opening weekend. We got to sit on the patio right by the fireplace. It was a beautiful, sunny night and we were excited to be at this new place. That all ended as soon as we started service. First, they were out of menus. So, our party had to share these mini menus which was uncomfortable. Then, I wanted to try the braised pork and they came back and told me that "it wasn't ready" and I couldn't order it. I decided to try the veal, among other things. One of my partners ordered a taco and expressed his extreme distaste for sour cream, only to receive it smothered in it. She did take it off the bill but didn't apologize or do anything to make up for the mistake. Service was slow, painfully slow and I would have spent more money on drinks, if she would have thought enough to come back and ask if I wanted one. My food was terribly bland, my husband's food was nearly inedible. We left feeling extremely disappointed and hungry. We will not go back.

I ate at COA with a party of 12 people and we got to sit at the huge table up front by the windows (it made us feel like the people to be seen). We ordered pitchers of the house margarita on the rocks (no salt needed), and a pitcher of the caliente mango it had chili powder in it but it wasn't spicy it was refreshing. Then we ordered 6 apps. we had empanadas with queso fresco (amazing) queso fundido served hot with warm corn tortillas, ceviche tostada (seafood and beyond amazing crab shrimp and citrus yum), poblanos rellenos which is a big pepper stuffed with potatos and breaded (fantastic) and a couple plates of flautas which a deep fried tacos stuffed with spicy chicken. All were incredible and very authentic. Then we shared 2 avacado and mango salads (I can't remember the name) topped with the best dressing I have ever had and I usually only like ranch. Moving on to the main course we had 3 la taquisas we had 2 of each taco on fresh corn tortillas of course and 2 extra al pastors they were so awesome the fish or pescado was the friday fish fry in a corn tortilla with a spicy sauce it was great and the chorizo was another of my favorite. To top the night off we had flan that was carmelized to perfection and of course more margaritas and a shot of tequila. All and all it was a great experience the service was great and we even got a chance to meet the owner Mark and the manager Anna and they were two of the nicest people so I would definately recommend COA to anyone but I will say if your looking for ground beef, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream then this may not be the place for you go in and try this authentic mexican food and be open minded to the way everything is served because personally I don't like tomatos and I ate everthing the way it came and again it was amazing so take an open mind and an empty stomach because the drinks and food are the greatest out of all the mexican restaurants I have ever been to and the margarita is definately the best I have ever had.

i loved coa! i went last thursday and had the thursday special - huarraches. it was great! i had it with the al pastor topping which was this great sweet, tangy pork blend with pineapples. when we got there we were given the best tortilla chips i've ever had, with some very flavorful salsas. i loved the green chile verde - it had such a bold flavor. oh, and i had a drink called the ginger gringo? it was this tasty lime margarita with a hint of ginger. i've never had that kind of flavor before and i loved it. the staff was beyond delightful - from the hosts who greeted me with a smile, to the bartenders who tended to me professionally and quickly, to the servers who had great product knowledge and were genuinely kind. i highly recommend this place. try it!
