I love Ethiopian food as I lived there for five years. I have eaten at a number of Ethiopan restaurants. Some excellent, some ok and some not good. Ethiopian Cottage was excellent! Very authentic and lots of variety. The dor wat was the best I have had in a very long time. My husband has learned to eat Ethiopian occassionally and he enjoyed his entire meal last weekend also. We even ordered extra to take home. Thank you very much and we WILL be back.

Not a good experience. The food was bland and boring. Many items on the menu were not available. We ordered a sample platter for two which cost $30, and both of us left hungry. Service was quick but not friendly. Considering this is the only Ethiopian restaurant in Milwaukee, the server gave us no help with the menu, eating customs, or asked us if we enjoyed our meal. Also, the mens bathroom was out of order which is a big deal since you eat with your hands and there was a line of people waiting for the womans bathroom to wash their hands. I would not recommend the Ethiopian Cottage.
