What a disappointment. Went to John Hawks Pub a few weeks ago. Even though the place wasn't busy, we had to wait over 20 minutes to get our drinks and put in our order. Service was slow and spotty. Our appetizer was nachos, which were cold and had cheese sauce instead of shredded cheese...pathetic. Our meals were so-so burgers with small sides of cold fries...wow. I'm so glad this meal wasn't with clients or rarely-seen friends. I would've been so embarrassed!

Having lived in the Milwaukee Area for over 8 years, I have eaten at John Hawks in the past, but had not been there in awhile. I recently ate there this past weekend (Aug 2nd) and was shocked at the poor service and food. My family wanted to sit by the river and enjoy some great "bar" food. Our service was extremely slow and we were not even helped after we sat for quite some time. Our meals, collectively, were cool and one of us had an extremely soggy sandwich. Our waters and drinks were not filled or refilled. I would maybe chalk the experience up to 1 server, but did see another actually press her body into someone's desert, notice she did it, and then still serve it - yuck! And, our poor food prep does not have as much to do with the server. I was shocked at the change since the times I had been there. I hope John Hawks tries to improve and gets better standards, but I will not be returning.
