I work right across the street so this place is pretty convenient. Good selection of beverages and nice decor. We sat at the bar, ordered some pizza slices, and watched some old movie playing on the flat screens. Then it all went downhill. Three people walked in, sat at the bar directly next to us, lit up, and proceeded to blow smoke in our direction. I had to move...immediately...disgusting. Why do people think this is acceptable! It's truly sad that we have to wait until July 2010 for the smoking ban to take effect. The restaurant owners should take it upon themselves to make the switch now. So long & short of the story...good food, but I won't go back until the owners show that they care about the health of their patrons.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is the best pizza in town now. Seriously, it's that good. The crust is a cross between thin crust and hand-tossed, cooked so it's not too flakey and burnt like a lot of other places. Some great choices of topping combos (current fave: Doc's Garden) and they'll make a pizza just about any way you request it. They've got some great beers on tap, too (my favorite being Stella). The space is really warm and friendly feeling with old family photos on the walls and some great lighting. Definitely check it out asap.

Thank god our neighborhood have added something of value that is not Mexican cuisine. What the new owners have done with the formner Lava Java is just right. We have been 3 times now and each time we had warn, really great service. They seem to be playing with a really strong wine selection too. Most importantly if you like thn crust piazza I think Olive Pit's is in the top 2 in the city.
