The waiter was a super nice guy but the food was just decent. Our small plates came out one at a time and we kept waiting for the one that would win the day. Food was not bad but it definetly was not anything really exotic or interesting. The flat bread with artichokes was pretty good, but the poblano pepper stuffed with lobster was diluted by some sort of ricotta cheese and tomato sauce. I think Swig needs more options for it's small plates. Also I think Swig isn't quite sure if it's a restaurant or a bar with tasty snacks. I'm not into expensive vodka drinks but they looked like they might be OK and there were lots of interesting options. I ordered a manhattan and it came on the rocks in a tumbler ???. Ok maybe this is the wrong place to order that sort of drink...

Food was really great and it had a nice atmosphere, but I was very disappointed with the wine service. I ordered a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon, and while Ive gotten used to red wine being served too warm, the glass I received was a good 10 degrees too warm. When I mentioned it to my server, he asked me, in a very snotty tone, if I would like an ice cube! Very discourteous.

I had high hopes for swig, and unfortunately none were met. It does look like the typical FLUX designed space, just as Water Buffalo does. The food here is very similar to that at its sister Water Buffalo, except much higher priced. For the price you pay, you are paying mainly for the atmosphere, not the taste.
