Six Milwaukee-area musicians will compete in the Civic Music Association's annual Collegiate Music Competition & Recital Saturday, Nov. 26 at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts.

The finalists include Sarah Butler, a graduate of Brown Deer High School; Lydia Rose Eiche, a graduate of Milwaukee High School of the Arts; Phillip Dobernig, a graduate of Mukwonago High School; Ravenna Lipchik, a graduate of Shorewood High School; Samuel Neufeld, a graduate of Nicolet High School; and Miles Plant, a graduate of Brookfield Central High School.

The competition offers Milwaukee-area high school alumni or current Milwaukee-area college students the opportunity to win $5,000 in scholarship money. First place will receive $2,500, second place will earn $1,500 and third place will win $1,000. Additionally, audience members will vote to award a finalist with a $500 Audience Voice Award.

The CMA recital begins at 1 p.m. Admission is $15, or $10 for CMA Friends, seniors and students.
