This morning, the Riverside Theater announced two new shows coming to town this spring: Sufjan Stevens and Death Cab for Cutie

Stevens is the first to come to Milwaukee, playing the Riverside on Thursday, April 23 for an 8 p.m. show (doors open at 7 p.m.). The soulful Brooklyn-based folk singer-songwriter will arrive in town with a new album in tow, "Carrie & Lowell" – named after his mother and stepfather. The record comes out on March 31, with the tour beginning in Philadelphia on April 10.

Reserved seating tickets for the show cost $36 and go on sale Friday, Jan. 30, beginning at noon. There is a four ticket limit, and in order to prevent ticket scalping, some orders will be subject to will call pick up day of show only.

A week and a half later, on Monday, May 4, influential indie rockers Death Cab for Cutie – along with special guest The Antlers – will also hit the Riverside stage. The show begins at 8:30 p.m., with doors opening an hour earlier. Like Sufjan, the band's tour – limited in size, only hitting 14 cities – also arrives on the heels of a new album, "Kintsugi," coming out on March 31. The record's first single, "Black Sun," was released this morning.

Tickets once again go on sale starting at noon on Friday, Jan. 30. General admission tickets for the show cost $35.75.
