We've all seen that land-docked boat in the middle of a residential neighborhood at 3128 N. Cambridge Ave., right? And, as the curious Milwaukeeans that we are, we've most likely all asked ourselves, "Does anyone actually live there?"
The answer is yes. It's creative man-about-town Paul Finger and he's inviting you in.
He's turned his home into an aquatic art space -- the Floating Gallery -- and hosts an exhibit called, "The Secret World of Leroy Ebert: 1921-2007."
The two-day show runs Saturday, Dec. 15 and Sunday, Dec. 16 from 12 to 6 p.m. and features hundreds of oils, watercolors, prints and drawings by Leroy Ebert, who passed away earlier this year.
Leroy Ebert, who studied at the Layton School of Art in the 1940s, painted a huge collection of landscapes, nudes and abstract paintings. Nothing in the gallery is more than $100.
