"American Idol" second runner-up Danny Gokey is in New York, where he will visit with Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa on "Live With Regis and Kelly" on Thursday morning. The show airs at 9 a.m. on Channel 12 in Milwaukee.
Gokey, who said on his Twitter page that he has never visited New York, also is rumored (via Entertainment Weekly magazine) to be interested in appearing on next season's "Dancing With the Stars" show.
In other Gokey news, Howard Benson, who produced albums for Daughtry and also worked with Kelly Clarkson, questioned Gokey's star quality in a recent interview.
"It would be very tough to make a record with him," Benson said. "I don't think he established who he was at all. He has this great, soulful voice. But he dresses like some guy that's in a bar somewhere. He doesn't look the part."

What kind of creepy alternate universe have we entered where Danny Gokey is being compared to The Beatles?

Just for the record, The Beatles were turned down by Decca before Capitol signed them too backin the 60's. I hope one person's opinion does not affect his urge to push his music.

I can't see his clothes on a CD and don't care what he wears if he sings well! Saying that, I saw nothing wrong with his clothes to begin with. I'll be watching and taping Regis on Thursday though for sure!
