The Milwaukee County Historical Society – in collaboration with the UWM ArtsEco program – will host "My Milwaukee," an art exhibition created by student artists around the Milwaukee area, beginning tonight at the Historical Center Museum, 910 N. Old World Third St.

During sessions at both the Historical Society and in their classrooms, the student artists learned about other children who grew up in Milwaukee. They used this knowledge, along with reflections on their own experiences growing up in the city, to created pieces of art encompassing their thoughts. Those pieces were then submitted and formed into the "My Milwaukee" exhibition.

This evening's exhibit's opening will run from 5 until 6:30 p.m., with remarks and awards presented at 5:30 p.m. "My Milwaukee" will then remain available for viewing at the Historical Center Museum from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 21.
