The Greater Milwaukee Foundation has awarded Mary L. Nohl Fund Fellowships for Individual Artists to seven local artists.

Danielle Beverly, Faythe Levine and Colin Matthes were chosen in the Established Artist category and will each receive a $15,000 fellowship. Lois Bielefeld, Tyanna J. Buie, Brad Fiore and Paul Kjelland will receive Emerging Artist fellowships of $5,000 each.

The seven artists were chosen from 140 applicants for the annual competition, now in its 10th year. Their fellowship also includes participation in a special exhibition in fall 2013 at the Institute of Visual Arts, 2155 N. Prospect Ave., as well as a published national catalog of their work.

The Mary L. Nohl Fund Fellowships for Individual Artists are awarded to practicing artists in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee and Washington Counties. Fellowship awards provide unrestricted annual funds for artists to create new work or complete work in progress.
