Parfrey to talk secret societies at Sugar Maple

Adam Parfrey, the man behind the publishing companies Feral House and Process Media, will give a multimedia performance on secret societies at Sugar Maple, 441 E. Lincoln Ave., on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m.

Parfrey will give a reading and slide show in support of his book, "Ritual America: Secret Brotherhoods and Their Influence on American Society – A Visual Guide."

According to Parfrey, secret societies had extraordinary influence on practically everything in our culture, from business networking, entertainment, friendships, life insurance and the structure of the government to the nuclear family itself.

Extreme novelist Peter Sotos, author of "Pure Filth," will also present some of his work. This event is free and for adults only.
