The Skylight Opera presents the classic Gilbert & Sullivan production, "The Pirates of Penzance," from May 22 to June 14, 2009.
The swashbuckling comedy features bumbling policemen, eccentric Major-General in a ridiculous farce and what many describe as a witty parody.
The show is set on a rocky seashore on the coast of Cornwall, England, and the pirates are holding a party to celebrate their apprentice Frederic's birthday and his promotion to the status of full-blown pirate. However, being born on the extra day of leap year does have its difficulties.
Tickets are available now. Call the box office or go to the Web site.
