I'm sitting in the office, watching Butler battle LSU on the cbssportsline.com feed of the NCAA Tournament (which is excellent, by the way) and it occurs to me that today may kick off one of the cooler 36-hour periods of TV viewing in recent memory.
We start with the NCAA Tournament on CBS, which is always good for thrills and chills. Then, Bruce Springsteen drops by to visit with Jon Stewart on "The Daily Show." Word has it that Springsteen will play a song (a solo rendition of "Working on a Dream"), which will make him the fourth artist to perform on the show along with White Stripes, Tom Waits and Coldplay.
Bruce's gig is at 10 p.m. on Comedy Central. At 10:30 p.m. President Obama will drop in on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," the first sitting president to appear on a late-night show. That appears at about 10:30 p.m.
Tomorrow, local fans will be glued to their sets as Marquette plays Utah State (11:30 a.m.) and Wisconsin plays Florida State (around 8 p.m.).
