Through his videos, Jeremy Baccash shares underexposed Milwaukee people, groups and happenings.

"My goal is to dive deep into subjects that people wouldn't normally know about in the city," says Baccash. "I really want to give people a new experience and a new perspective."

Baccash, who serves as the creative director for a start-up called Social Candy, recently made a video about the Walker’s Point Creative Collective, 536 W. National Ave. Eventually, he plans to create a series of videos focusing on the individual artists.

"I really support what this group is doing and I wanted to introduce them to the city," says Baccash.

Josh Ebert – sometimes known as "Joshy Bert" – is the founder of the Walker’s Point Creative Collective. He is a tattoo artist at Walker’s Point Tattoo Company and an artist in many mediums, predominantly spray painting and airbrushing.

So far, about a dozen artists are connected to the collective.

"We’re trying to create an art movement and be involved in pretty much everything," says Ebert. "Everybody in there is a well-versed artist. We all do something different and vibe off each other."

Creating more murals in the city is one of the group’s main missions. Recently, members of the collective created the "Bienvenidos, Walker’s Point" mural on 2nd Street and plan to donate another mural on the north exterior wall of Hamburger Mary’s during the inaugural Walker’s Point Fest on Saturday, Sept. 24.

"Involving kids is important to us," says Ebert. "We’re going to have kids helping on the Hamburger Mary’s mural and with other projects as well."

Ebert, who grew in Cudahy, moved to numerous parts of the country before returning to Milwaukee. He studied art and art therapy at the Art Institute of Chicago, Art Institute of Phoenix, Peck School of the Arts at UWM and Mount Mary University.

"What Josh is doing with Creative Collective is very unique," says Buccash. "I’m honored to document what they are doing."
