WAMI hands out 2007 awards
The 27th annual Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) Awards Show was held Monday night at the Northern Lights Theater at Milwaukee's Potawatomi Bingo and Casino. The winners, in 35 categories -- including musicianship, recordings and industry-related technical areas -- hail from throughout Wisconsin. WAMI membership nominates potential honorees, which are then voted on by the general public.

Could the WAMI's possibly be MORE irrevelent? Are these the same people booking the main stage at Summerfest? Hang it up guys, you have all the insight into music being created in Milwaukee that the Grammys do on a nation wide scale. Has anyone been to one of these? It's like Dirk Digglers big night in Boogie Nights. Put those little spoons away boys, the 70's were a long time ago.

CORRECTION ! Almost All WAMI award recipients are selected by the WAMI nominating committee NOT public voting as your article states. The ONLY exceptions being the 4 sectional people's choice awards.
