The Alchemist Theatre & Lounge offers a unique, relaxing and comfortable environment to enjoy top-notch local, independent artists.

Affordable theater fees for theater rental and a 100% return of ticket sales to the artist ensures that production companies not only have the potential to make money and profit share with their actors, but also helps ensure that ticket prices remain low enough to "take a chance" on some great performances.

A wide variety of activities find there home at the Alchemist: improv comedy, one-act plays, public domain sci-fi & horror movie nights and poetry readings.

Paint the Town

Paint the Town tells the story of an anarchist duo pursuing absolute freedom through principled non-participation in capitalist economic structures and violent overthrow of the root of all social control: the family. Winsome tells this story through dramatic episodes interrupted by alienating narrations to achieve a check on dramatic emotional purges and audience sympathy for these ruthless yet inspiring characters and their victims.

After a Run in Milwaukee, Local Theatre Artist Takes His Show on the Road! Insurgent theatre is producing Rex Winsome's newest full length play, Paint the Town in a three week run at The Alchemist Theatre before going on a punk-rock style tour to the east coast.

Schedule - 11:00 a.m. Fridays (11th, 18th, and 25th), 8:00 p.m. Saturdays (12th, 19th, 26th) and 4:00 p.m. Sundays (13th, 27th). Tickets: $8. Purchase tickets at the Alchemist Theatre, by phone at 414-426-4169 or online.
