Bluegrass Jamboree

CCC Center Stage Series featuring BLUEGRASS JAMBOREE! Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 7:00pm

Calling all pickers and dancers. Grab your favorite instrument and jam with other like-minded souls. Stroll on down to the Cedarburg Cultural Center and enjoy a night of bluegrass music. Stay tuned as this spontaneous jam unfolds. Jordan Kroeger, bassist of the famed bluegrass band Chicken Wire Empire, will be performing a special short solo set featuring originals and choice covers ranging from CWE repertoire to his own style of bluesy folk! The evening also includes performances by Sawdust Symphony, Thistledown Thunders, and Art Stevenson & High Water.

Tickets: $16.00 Advance $18.00 Day of Show The Cedarburg Cultural Center is proud to announce its 2015-2016 Center Stage concert series presented by Port Washington State Bank. The Center will showcase an eclectic line-up of music from blues to bluegrass, jazz to Americana, and rock to rockabilly. Featuring local and nationally-touring bands, as well as improv comedy, this season is also sponsored by Fromm Family Foods, The Washington House Inn, Fokus Forward Consulting, and “After Party” Sponsor, The Stilthouse Restaurant. New this year, the Center is offering special concert series ticket pricing for a limited time only: Center members may enjoy all eight events for just $86 (a $96 value). First Fridays

FIRST FRIDAYS @ The Cedarburg Cultural Center Just as the summer music season ends, “First Fridays” continues the feel of a live music festival indoors on the first Friday of every month from October through May (with the exception of January 1). In our 2015-2016 Season, guests will be greeted with an opening band featuring local musicians at 6:00 pm. Dinner will be available for purchase from food trucks, as well as indoors from “After Party” Sponsor, The Stilthouse Restaurant. Other activities include a local handmade art show, kid’s crafts, dancing, cash bar and good times. At 7:00pm, the lights go down and the party turns up as the main act takes the stage for two hours. The Center’s full cash bar and dance floor will multiply the fun. This exciting series is free of charge to members of the Cultural Center and children under 5. Blueburg Cafe Open Mic Night

First Wednesday of Every Month The Blueburg Café offers “Plug and Play” Open Mic nights on the first Wednesday of each month, showcasing musicians, singers, poets, dancers, comedians, filmmakers and story-tellers. Amplification and microphones are provided.

All ages are welcome!$2 donation qualifies you for door prize entry!Open Mic begins at 7:00 pm and continues until approximately 9:00 pm. Doors open and sign-up begins at 6:15 pm. Performers are encouraged to sign up before 6:40 pm as slots fill quickly.

Performers appear on stage on a first-come, first on-stage basis, with management reserving the right to move performances to best showcase the talent. Each performer will have approximately5 minutes on the stage. Filmmakers must call in advance to ensure proper equipment is available.

The Café’s full bar offers drink specials, beer, wine, soft drinks including Sprecher soda, and snacks. Complimentary coffee is provided courtesy of Starbucks® of Cedarburg. Blueburg Cafe Open Mic Night Sponsors:
