Monster Dash Family-Fun Run/Walk

CEDARBURG, Wis. – Goblins, zombies, maybe some princesses and super heroes too will dash through Cedarburg on Saturday, October 29 in the Monster Dash Family-Fun Run/Walk. Hosted by Cedarburg Junior Woman’s Club, this event offers serious runners a 5K chip-timed run route, and for the leisure runner or family a 1-mile fun run/walk route. The runners and walkers will go through part of downtown Cedarburg and continue a scenic route through Cedar Creek Park. It’s sure to be a fright to see! Race starts at 9 a.m. for the 5K runners, followed by the 1-mile participants. Early packet pick up is 5 to 6 p.m. on Friday, October 28th at Crossfit Unbroken, N69W5289 Columbia Rd., Cedarburg Race-day packet pick up and walk-up registration is 8 to 9 a.m. in the parking lot behind the Cedarburg Cultural Center, W62 N545 Washington Ave. Registration is $25 for adults; $10 children, ages 7 to 17; children ages 7 and under are free (no t-shirt provided for free participants). All runners and walkers receive a long sleeve cotton t-shirt with their registration. (Shirts are guaranteed only with registrations received before October 22nd). Race-day registration is $30 per participant, no t-shirt provided. Halloween costumes are encouraged as this is a festive, family event! (Sorry, no dogs allowed.) All costumed participants will be entered into a raffle for a fun prize! Chip timing by In Focus Timing will provide fast results. Exciting prizes for top male and female 5K runners! Proceeds benefit Advocates of Ozaukee, an organization working to end domestic and sexual abuse through intervention, education and prevention services. Post run/walk refreshments will be provided by Cedarburg Coffee Roastery. The Cedarburg Junior Woman’s Club is a non-profit organization committed to serving Cedarburg and the surrounding communities. Members volunteer time and talents to provide financial support for civic, cultural, educational and social projects.
