Valentine's Schmalentine's

‘Tis the season of giving cards to let others know how you feel. Whether you want to say “I Love You” or “You’ll Do”, make your own cards and infuse a bit of humor in this hands-on printing experience in the Bill Brady Intelligent Products Lab. These experiences are family-friendly. However, due to printing height and strength requirements, the recommended age is 8+ for participation. Pre-registration is required.

Love Your Great Lakes

Discovery World, the USS Milwaukee, and partner organizations from southeastern Wisconsin have joined forces to host "Love Your Great Lakes," offering fun and educational maritime experiences for the entire family. The day will consist of interactive experiences courtesy of organizations such as the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center and others, opportunities to create your own nautical-themed projects in the Kohl's Design It! Lab, a special screening of the documentary "Bag It," and guest presentations from the USS Milwaukee, the President of the Wisconsin Marine Historical Society, Peter Hirthe, and more!

Fragrance Factory

OPEN LAB from 10:30-12:30pm and 1:30-3:30pm Ever wonder how scented products are created? Explore the THIRST Lab and see demonstrations of some of the actual techniques and equipment used by professionals to extract and combine essential oils. Examine candy and flower scented oils and see the extraction processes happening throughout the day. Also, available for purchase, for just $3 a bottle, you can create a customized aromatic room spray using a collection of essential oils and techniques show in the lab. This lab is designed for children ages 7+ with proper adult supervision, for families, and for adults.

Scientist Webelos Activity Badge

Investigate Bernoulli’s Principle, Pascal’s Law, and Newton’s first law of motion through hands-on demonstrations and experiments. After the Scouts show the effects of atmospheric, air, and water pressure they’ll be able to talk to learn about careers as a scientist.
