Summer Camps & Teen Workshops at Discovery World
This Summer Teens & Youth Will Build a Bright Future @ Discovery World – Milwaukee’s Premiere Center For Public Innovation We know that your kids are smart, talented, creative, curious, and eager to build the future. Discovery World is their launch pad – the place where they learn how to build that future. We’ve designed our Teen Workshops and Summer Camps just for them – 10 weeks of unique, exciting, non-stop fun for young scientists, engineers, artists, innovators, and designers. Week-Long Teen Workshops* Grades 9-12 Designed specifically for high school teenagers, these new workshops will provide a more in-depth and focused week-long experience. By providing a place to interact directly with industry professionals, teens learn real-world techniques and participate in guided experiences. Teens will focus their work on a final project that will prepare them for college and future careers. Week-Long Summer Camps* Grades 3-8 Our camps for middle school and grade school students appeal to builders, creators, and explorers curious about the world around them as well as those interested in technology and the environment. Small camp sizes promote one-on-one interactions, hands-on activities, and optimal engagement. Guest experts and professionals in the field augment our exceptional staff by enhancing our camps with their real-world experiences. Boy Scout Merit Badge Workshops Middle and high school students will work together to earn badges ranging from Oceanography and Architecture to Radio and Electronics. The Merit Badge Workshops will follow the same schedule as the regular Summer Camps and Workshops and will be offered as one or two-day experiences. *Grade Requirement: Participants must be entering the grade required for the Workshop/Camp of their choice by the start of the 2013-2014 school year. Nourish special talents and interests! Enroll in a workshop or camp at Discovery World!
