Sidewalk Science: Build A Better Bubble

Explore the science of bubbles as you experiment with different recipes to find a winning combination. Surface tension, evaporation, and physics unite in this hands-on science experience. Take home your custom blend of scented bubbles, and construct a unique bubble wand to use. This experience is family-friendly. Due to fine motor skills requirements, the recommended age is 5+. Adult supervision and pre-registration are required.

Master Brewer: Silver Creek Brewing

Brewing Session: Thursday, June 11th, 5-10pm Bottling Session: Thursday, June 25th, 5:30-7:30pm Kyle Ciske of Silver Creek Brewing Company in Cedarburg, WI, will lead participants in the creation of a custom recipe on the THIRST Lab’s 1-barrel and 3-tier gravity fed brewing systems. Be involved in every part of the brewing process from measuring grain, adding hops, and pitching yeast. Great for anyone with any skill level – from the devoted home-brewer to the casual beer-lover. A light supper will be provided during the session. Return two weeks later to bottle your product with a unique label featuring a one-of-a-kind design.

In honor of Les Paul, Discovery World will be celebrating the 100th birthday of this legendary innovator and inventor. Enjoy these fun experiences, get a chance to win a special prize in our raffle, and enjoy birthday cake courtesy of Eat Cake!* *Birthday cake will be served from 12-1pm. First come, first served. The Les Paul Sound: Centennial Special 11am, 1pm, AND 3pm (45 min) $2/person plus General Admission See scientific demonstrations and experiments of some of the “Wizard of Waukesha’s” innovations in sound and recording that he pioneered in this interactive program. This experience is family-friendly and is recommended for ages 8+. Adult supervision required. Pre-registration is strongly recommended. Celebrate the 100th birthday of the Wizard of Waukesha with a custom Les Paul item. Use the process of transfer pad printing to place images on a guitar pick for a rockin’, interactive take-home. Collect it, use it, or turn it into a necklace – the Brady Intelligent Products Lab will show you how! This is a family-friendly experience. Due to inks and tool use, the recommended age is 8+ for participation. Pre-registration and adult supervision are required.
