The Milwaukee Public Museum is a museum of human and natural history that interprets the world's culture and natural heritage through collections, research, education and exhibits.

Created in 1882, the museum has many interesting exhibits such as The Streets of Old Milwaukee, The Living Oceans, The Rain Forest and Butterflies Alive.

Thank You Thursdays at MPM

Milwaukee County residents receive free general admission to the Milwaukee Public Museum on the first Thursday of every month through our Thank You Thursday program. Adult residents must present valid photo identification showing Milwaukee County residency to receive free admission, and children must be accompanied by an adult showing proof of residency to receive free admission. Romancing the Stars: Valentine's Day at the Milwaukee Public Museum

Daniel M. Soref Planetarium presents a special two-evening run of the Valentine's show Romancing the Stars.

Couples can embark on an out-of-this-world date at the Planetarium, complete with a romantic tour of the universe and a look at which star clusters are actually "constellations of love." A box of chocolates will be given to each couple.

Romancing the Stars will play at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Friday, February 13 and Saturday, February 14. Admission is $20 per couple, and reservations are highly recommended.

The show is rated "AC," for adult couples only—no young children allowed.

For Your Eyes Only Overnight at MPM

During MPM’s For Your Eyes Only overnight, our educators will show you objects from our collections not normally available for public viewing. You'll get the chance to examine fossils of your favorite dinosaurs, measure yourself against a Galapagos tortoise shell, and check out ancient Egyptian mummification artifacts. We’ve also created a special third floor flashlight tour with stops at objects and exhibits voted by our staff as their favorites.
