Seat backs up. Fasten belts. New York, soon after 9/11. Khaled, a young Arab American writer, receives a cordial visit from Carl and Bartlett, two government officials. Their friendly demeanor slowly devolves into aggressive suspicion, and Khaled finds himself accused of possible ties to terrorists. The tension mounts and Khaled's situation turns increasingly surreal, as the meaning of being a free citizen - wedged uncomfortably between security and civil rights - comes into very sharp and personal focus for us all.
