Constructed in 1882, Turner Hall began as a showplace for the panoramic painters and other German immigrant artists who dominated the Milwaukee art scene until the 1920s and throughout the early 1900s. It is the only building in Milwaukee that currently holds the three following honorary architectural and historical designations: a National Landmark, a listing on the National Registry of Historic Places, and a local Historical Landmark. Located in the heart of downtown, across from the BMO Harris Bradley Center, the two-story, 7,000 - plus square foot Ballroom is a central hub for a vast array of events in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee Comedy Festival: Brian Posehn Aug 9 at Turner Hall Ballroom

The tenth annual Milwaukee Comedy Festival celebrates a decade of funny with headliner Brian Posehn at Turner Hall! Brian Posehn will perform on the final day of the festival, AugustMKE_Comedy_Festival_chicken 9th, 2015 at 8pm at the Historic Turner Hall Ballroom! Brian Posehn—best known for his roles in Fantastic Four, New Girl, Metalocalypse, Just Shoot Me, and The Sarah Silverman Program—has been constantly touring as a stand-up comedian in the best comedy clubs and rock venues in the country. In 2013, Posehn’s first hour long special, The Fartist, debuted through Netflix. Brian is currently co-writing Deadpool for Marvel Comics. He has a popular podcast, Nerd Poker, on the Earwolf Network. 2013 also marked the release of a book co-written by Brian with Bob Odenkirk and David Cross called Hollywood Said No. He is also currently producing a Comedy Metal album with Scott Ian of Anthrax. Brian Posehn at Turner Hall Ballroom for Milwaukee Comedy Festival

This year’s final night will feature Brian Posehn (The Comedians of Comedy and Fantastic Four) as the festival headliner on Sunday, August 9. “We have for the audience the best festival line up in our decade long history!” Said Matt Kemple, festival founder and producer “We’ve found the best and can’t wait for Milwaukee to see what we have in store for them this time around.” Seven different shows will offer a variety of comedy acts including professional stand up, improvisation and sketch comedy. Single Show Tickets are available for $14 via http://festival.milwaukeecomedy.com and at the Next Act Theatre Box Office, or $18 day of show.

MDA Muscle Team Wisconsin

MDA’s Muscle Team groups professional athletes with MDA Buddies — children living with one of 43 neuromuscular diseases. These MDA Buddies get a chance to fulfill their dream of spending time one-on-one with their favorite sports stars. The Muscle Team season culminates in a fundraising gala on Thursday, November 12th, 2014 6:30pm at the Turner Hall Ballroom, located at 1038 4th Street in Milwaukee.

The evening is sure to be an unforgettable experience where all the MDA buddies and their new athlete friends come together with local celebrities and business executives for an extraordinary event. The evening will feature live entertainment, silent and live auctions offering unique sports packages and an array of complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
