Event Description

Milwaukee Ballet’s The Sleeping Beauty brings the classic fairytale to life this fall. This classical ballet featuring Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score performed live by the Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra and original choreography by Artistic Director Michael Pink blending pure classical dance and drama with sumptuous costumes to visually captivate and delight both adult and family audiences.

Audiences will experience a magical kingdom where a beautiful princess is cursed to prick her finger and succumb to eternal sleep, waking only by a kiss from her handsome prince. As with the holiday favorite The Nutcracker, children from Milwaukee Ballet School will dance in this performance. A favorite in the ballet repertoire, The Sleeping Beauty is based on French author Charles Perrault’s story of Princess Aurora, a tale full of fairies, an evil witch and magic spells.  For tickets and additional information click on the link above.
