GE Healthcare and Milwaukee School of Engineering have teamed up to provide middle school girls with a week-long workshop focused on science, technology, engineering and math starting Monday, July 16.

The week-long GE Girls at MSOE program will provide 25 middle school girls from the Waukesha School District an opportunity to discover career paths in STEM fields and learn more about the disciplines through hands-on activities in medical technology, physiology and biomedical engineering. Girls will also be matched with a female mentor working in these fields with GE Healthcare.

The GE Girls at MSOE program is the product of the GE Women's Network, which works to foster interest and enthusiasm in STEM learning among girls in the local community. This is the first year the program will take place in Milwaukee.
