Baby makes three for August and Julie Herschede, who had their third daughter at the end of April. Baby Elsa joins sisters Emma, 6, and Annabelle, 3.

"They love being ‘mini moms’ to their new baby sister,” says August.

The Herschede girls attend Richards school in Whitefish Bay, and often go to Klode Park. "They especially love going there on the 4th of July for the 'boom booms,'" says August.

August and his parents, Katherine and John, work together in the real estate business. They own combined more than 125 rental units in the Riverwest area, specifically in the southern end of the neighborhood.

"They are very creative girls; they love artwork, mystery bike rides and trips to Ephraim," says August about his two oldest daughters.

But what really makes them the ideal candidates for this month's "Mini Milwaukeean" contest is their appreciation for tostadas at Conejito's ("Coneys," as they call it), and playing "Frank" (Sinatra) on the jukebox at Albanese's on Keefe. What a trio of cool chicas!

Nominate your kid to be OMC's next "Mini-Milwaukeean of the Month!"

Every month, we'll select one Brew City babe (suburban kids are also eligible) and write a little article about him or her. Then, Mom or Dad can forward the article to friends and relatives -- three cheers for cyberspace bragging rights!

Contest requirements:

1. Kids entered in the contest must be between the ages of newborn and 6 years old.

2. Kids must be nominated by a family member.

3. Family must live in the Metro Milwaukee area.

Note: Preference will be given to kids photographed in a recognizable Milwaukee setting or wearing Milwaukee/Wisconsin gear.

So, e-mail your favorite digital photo to us, the name and age of your child and your name. If we pick your mini for the month, we'll email you back and ask for more information for the article.

E-mail molly@staff.onmilwaukee.com and type "Mini Milwaukeean" in the subject line. There is no deadline for this contest.
