In addition to the more than 100 home improvement and remodeling exhibitors, the Milwaukee NARI Home & Remodeling Show will feature Interactive Smart Home Gallery, a "Create and Take" area, live music, the Milwaukee NARI Show Information area, a 50/50 cash raffle presented by the Milwaukee NARI Foundation. Inc. and much more. This year’s event will be held Friday, Oct. 7 through Sunday, Oct. 9, in the State Fair Park Exposition Center at in West Allis.

Colbalt Glassworks, a Milwaukee based stained glass studio, will be hosting a "Create & Take" booth, where show attendees will received hand-on education on the company’s creation process. Participants can pick out glass pieces and learn to foil, assemble and solder them into sun catchers that they can take home for $20. 

Specializing in custom stained glass art for homes and businesses, as well as the repair and restoration of antique stained and leaded glass, Cobalt Glassworks offers classes, supplies, and studio time for students and hobbyists, as well as educational programs for large groups and classrooms.

The Smart Home Gallery, presented by Flanner’s Home Entertainment, will allow show attendees to step inside and see how simple it is to make their house a "smart home." The 20' x 30 display will feature a variety of interactive components, including opening shades, controlling locks and lighting from Crestron; a Sonos audio display; and a home networking system from TiVo.

The Milwaukee NARI Show Information area provides attendees with a central location to learn about the various components of the country’s largest home improvement council. Consumers will gain knowledge about Certified Professionals, Milwaukee NARI’s ethical guidelines and the Milwaukee NARI Foundation, the association’s charitable and educational arm. An "Ask a NARI Certified Professional" area will feature one of the association’s Certified Professionals available to answer general home improvement questions and provide remodeling advice. While all Milwaukee NARI members are qualified, only select members have taken the education classes and passed the national exam to become NARI Certified Professionals. The association will also have available its marketing materials for consumers, including its membership directory and resource guide.

The 50/50 raffle presented by the Milwaukee NARI Foundation, Inc., will provide show attendees with an opportunity to buy raffle tickets to win half the money generated by ticket sales. All proceeds will be used to engage in educational programs and activities for the benefit and enlightenment of the public with respect to home improvement and remodeling. The foundation, designed to ensure growth of the home improvement and remodeling industry by attracting future professionals and preparing them for their careers, helps individuals explore career options, ask questions and get hands-on experiences. Tickets will be sold during show hours in the Milwaukee NARI Show Information area – one ticket for $5, three for $10 and eight for $20. The winning ticket will be drawn at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 9.

The "Closest to the Pin Challenge," featuring Surfthing equipment by Callaway, will allow attendees to test their skills in a golf simulator and check out the other options that Surfthing can bring to homes, from gaming to home theater and more. In addition, those that take the "challenge" will qualify to win tickets for a 2016 Green Bay Packers home game.

Throughout the show, local students will display their musical acumen with performances in the "Live Music Lounge."

The show will provide attendees with an opportunity to meet with more than 100 Milwaukee NARI member exhibitors, displaying the latest home improvement and remodeling products and services, including design/build, kitchens, decks, cabinets, windows, wall covering, bathrooms, lighting, landscaping, roofing, painting, fireplaces, siding and more.

In addition, there will be daily educational presentations and demonstrations by home improvement specialists on the Home Solutions Stage, including Melinda Myers, on Friday, Oct. 7 at 2:30 p.m. The show will also feature cooking competitions and chefs preparing their favorite recipes, including former Green Bay Packer Leroy Butler on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 1 p.m.

Hours on Friday, Oct. 7 are 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.; 10 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8; and on Sunday, Oct. 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $8 in advance, and $10 at the door. Tickets for seniors, 60 and older, are $8, while children 17 and younger and active and retired military personnel with military identification are admitted at no charge.
