Some Milwaukeeans will never forget The Foo Fighters at Summerfest.

Social Circle: What's the highlight of your summer so far?

Welcome to a weekly segment called "Social Circle." It's a group effort between readers, social networkers and the OnMilwaukee.com editors. Every Monday, we ask a question via Facebook and Twitter and then post the responses from our Facebook "likers" and Twitter followers in this column. Well-known Milwaukee movers and shakers will contribute, too.

We're not gonna suggest that summer is almost over, because it's not. (Just ignore all the back-to-school supplies and even Halloween stuff already in some stores.) There's plenty of sun fun left to soak up. But we will say that there's been a lot of summer already underway and so OnMilwaukee.com asked the Social Circle what's been the high point, so far.

Responses ranged from the opening Estabrook Beer Garden to multiple votes for the Foo Fighters concert at Summerfest. What was your favorite summer moment so far, Milwaukee?

Emily Ann: "Aerosmith at Summerfest!"

Sarah M. Barse: "My air conditioner hasn't broken from overuse."

Pam Cake: "Racine Beach."

Paul N. Chmielewski: "My son leaving for Marine Corp boot camp."

Jill Engel: "Getting married to the guy who I have known since I was 12. All the way back in Nebraska."

Alissa Gonyea: "The anticipation for RW24!"

Lynn Guerrero: "Foo Fighters at Summerfest. Too awesome for words."

Eileen Harnett Teska: "The birth today of Baby Brother. They went to the hospital at 1 a.m. and expect word any minute he has arrived."

Young Kin: "16 hours in the car with my family."

Sue Knight: "Swimming at McKinley beach all day on July 3rd with my kids while waiting for the fireworks. It was a rare Wisconsin night, so warm that we could swim in Lake Michigan at sunset, watch the full moon rise and relax in the sand watching fireworks."

Tammy Kolbe: "Discovery of Muskego County Beach. Awesome."

Dan Krass: "Day one at State Fair (OK, it hasn't happened yet, but I know what's up).

Stacy La Point: "Gillian Welch with David Rawlings at The Pabst on Monday night. Blew. My. Mind."

Erin Shea Linnane: "Officiating a wedding in Bessemer."

"College Dave" Mikolajek: "The Mikolajek family reunion."

Amy O'Neill: "Moving back to Milwaukee."

Jeff Pawlinski: "David Gray at the BMO Harris Stage on the 4th of July."

Shari Prag: "ZZ Top At Summerfest."

David Reichert: "Foo Fighters!"

Shea Schachameyer: Jumping wave at Big Bay Park, watching a few dudes surf there at the same time and then drying out in the sun on the rocks."

Rima Shah: "Jam packed night at Summerfest. Rode the motorcycle, broke down, not a minute later, hopped on the bus heading Downtown. Saw a killer New Orleans band, a little David Gray and ended the night with Ziggy Marley. Warm balmy night, stars, dancing our hearts open. Ziggy sang about love, freedom and peace. A One Love night."

Jack Stewart: "Being able to sit on the deck every evening since May."

Kyle Swezig: "Estabrook Beer Garden!"

Harvey Taylor: "Jimmy Cliff at Summerfest."

Becky Thompson: "Artists Working In Education. Excellent program, dedicated staff. Womderful projects."

Chris Thompson: "Madeline Island summer. What could be better? And my kids are arriving next weekend."

Wearning tanks and shorts every day. The heat may seem horrific to most, but when I think of winter, this weather is great!
