Sunday Sound-off: Is Milwaukee's cool summer weather normal?
Luckily, temperatures haven't dipped this low in about a month.

Many Milwaukeeans are ticked about the chilly June temperatures. It's a popular topic of discussion and many people claim it's unusually cold for early-to-mid June. But is it? Have we just forgotten what it's like around here in late spring to early summer, or are we really having an unusually cold beginning of the season?

Sound-off, Milwaukee, about the city's 50- and 60-degree start to summer.

Yes, it's normal. Milwaukeeans forget every year that we no longer have spring. The weather transitions from chilly to hot and humid practically overnight. The cool start to summer happens every year, and every year, people complain about it. Get over it, people. Soon it will be 90 degrees and you'll complain about that.

No, this is not normal. In past years, we've had a few more warm days by now. The absolute lack of hot weather so far is not the norm. It's OK to have a few cool days mixed in with warm days this time of year, but the absolute absence of high temps makes it seem like summer is never going to get here.

Corrina, actually I'm much more on your side than the other side. The problem is that you're so over the top with everything. Look, I'm a Packer fan but the people who decorate every square inch of their homes in Packer memorabilia make us normal fans look stupid. Your liberal/socialist rants in every post make those of us who would otherwise mostly agree with you look stupid. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to being sarcastic.

Broner, I bet a bozo like you doesn't even use the phrase "global warming" anymore but "climate change" instead. What a farce! The global warming issue is just another way for liberals/socialists to impose their insane worldview on the rest of us. You clowns are entertaining though.

If it isn't normal, I sure wish we'd have more "late spring/early summers" like this! I generally only complain about global warming in January when the high for the day is in the negative numbers. Not the windchill - the actual temperature is in the negative numbers. I mean if global warming was true, and we really are increasing in temperature, then what would those days be like without it? And I certainly don't hold up a hot October as proof the other way, either. I just assume that the environment fluctuates on a natural cycle, like it has been proven that it has for years.

I knew it wouldn't take long for the talkbacks to turn to the topic of global warming. Nothing like a few weeks of unseasonably cool weather for some to conclude that there is no global warming. Of course, some folks on the other side will take an unseasonably warm stretch in October as proof that there is global warming. Way to think geniuses! corrina - you should use more CAPS in your talkbacks like you used to. That way, the LIBERALS/SOCIALISTS will have your BRILLIANCE shouted at them in such a way that they cannot REFUTE YOUR ELOQUENT POINTS! See how that works

Just one more thing ineffectual liberals/socialists are wrong about. The global warming hoax is just that: a hoax.
