What is a blog? For us it is a short blurb that we write when the mood strikes us. It can be first person, funny or informative. In short, a blog is whatever we want it to be. Published April 11, 2009 at 11:36 a.m.

As soon as temperatures climb above 45 degrees, I am ready to grill out, take my kids to playgrounds again and revisit my packed-away spring and summer wardrobe.

Already, I've busted out a couple of lightweight, floral shirts, but I am not sure about the white jeans. The "rule" that white clothing shouldn't be worn until after Memorial Day keeps rolling around in my brain.

I'm not a big rule follower in general, but something stops me from wearing all-white clothing items at least until early May.

So now, I ask he fashionistas out there if this classic fashion rule still exists or should I just bust out the pale pants?

I would say wear the jeans. BUT make sure you are pair the jeans with the weather appropriate top, such as a flowy light weight sweater in a solid color, and if it is chilly stay away from the open toe shoes. I am not a fan of that white rule, but be smart about it. Make sure when you step our the door it does not look like you are trying to reinact your winter vacay to Mexico.

I think it really all depends on the make-up of the material. If its made to wear in winter, I.E. winter white, with heavier material, you can still get away with wearing it now. However with lightweight summer fabrics, wait till at least it gets 65 to 70ish before pulling it out.

I say wear white now. We're all dying for some nice weather and if wearing summery clothes helps get us in the mindset, do it. I've already busted out a few tropic print shirts on casual Friday at my workplace. My co-workers liked it and they seemed to feel better, too.

since I am not a fashionista, all I can say is go with what makes you happy and forget everyone else. Just do not wear white on pasta night.
