Children under 18 can ride free on the Lake Express in May and June.
The Milwaukee-to-Muskegon ferry features this discount until July 1. It will save a family of four -- two parents and two children -- $115 in fares for a one-way trip and $196 for a round trip.

Its still way too expensive. For a husband and wife to take their kids for free would still cost over $400 round trip if they take their car with.
