Finally, there's a four-way stop at Broadway and St. Paul Avenue in the Historic Third Ward.
Retailers and residents have been calling for stop signs at this busy corner for years, but it took the opening of the Good Harvest Market, 346 N. Broadway, to make it a reality.
Now pedestrians will have some protection from the heavy traffic that flows to and from the Milwaukee Public Market and all of the neighborhood's retailers.
Good Harvest Market, a natural food store, officially opens its doors tomorrow, Thursday, at 11 a.m. We've peeked inside and can see a large organic bulk food section, salad bar, dining area and a ton of produce.
Good Harvest, which has another location in Waukesha, doesn't sell foods with partially hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, added MSG, bleach or sodium nitrates.
The new grocer, kitty-corner from the Milwaukee Public Market, will be open Monday-Saturday 8 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Nice -- about time!! Sitting outside @ Wicked Hop twice in the past year witnessed some crashes (nothing serious but lots of car damage). Glad they decided 4 way stop instead of more stop lights.

People first, cars second = a formula for great city neighborhoods. Congrats, Milwaukee.
