Starting Wednesday, travelers passing through the Milwaukee Intermodal Station will have a new option to quell their hunger or kick off the day with a hot cup of coffee. OnMilwaukee.com first reported on this development in April.
Aladdin Tastes of the East operator Azmi Alaeddin will open Aladdin's All-Aboard Cafe Wednesday, where a wide range of menu options will be available including breakfast items, burgers and hot dogs and fresh-grilled paninis.
Also available will be smoothies, candies and snacks, and Stone Creek Coffee.
The menu will differ from those at his Milwaukee Public Market location, due mainly to the lack of a gas line and suitable ventilation, but will still offer a significant upgrade to the station's current offerings.
"We won't have a full menu to start," Alaeddin said Tuesday night. "We will start small and expand."
He expects to hold a grand opening sometime in the next week.

I've always enjoyed their food at the Public Market and at their earlier restaurants. I look forward to grabbing something when I'm passing through.
