Menomonee Falls makes new best places to live list
Milwaukee suburb, Menomonee Falls, ranks 28 on Money magazine's list of the best places to live in the United States.
The list – released today – ranks small towns in the United States with populations under 50,000 based on economy, schools, outdoor activities and community.
Milwaukee, of course, didn't make the list as it's only for towns less than 50,000.
Money had this to say about The Falls, "Menomonee Falls is home to several large employers, including the headquarters of retailer Kohl's and a Harley-Davidson factory. The city also offers easy access to opportunities in Milwaukee, just 20 miles away. Menomonee Falls is also known as a good place to buy a starter house: Median home sales prices hover around $200,000."
Sharon, Mass., earned top honors this year. Louisville, Colo; Vienna, Va.; Chanhassen, Minn.; and Sherwood, Ore., rounded out the Top 5.
200k on a starter house? That's a heck of a nice start in this market.
Not your words, but how can the Falls be 20 miles from Milwaukee when they share a border? This supports my belief that these lists are nonsensical and made only to drive page views.
