After four fashionable years on the East Side, Niche Style / Sound, 1922 E. Park Pl., is closing its doors. Owners Justin Grall and Brandi Kupsky opened their shop in 2004 to offer one-of-a-kind vintage and locally designed apparel as well as a savvy vinyl collection of electronic music.
"We are saddened that Milwaukee has to lose another unique shopping experience," says Grall. "We cannot stress enough to continue to support local, independent business. It's not just a slogan on a bumper sticker; it has meaning. We hope that those who may not have stopped into our store will consider other local retailers still out there. There are many great unique-to-Milwaukee experiences that need your support to continue."
Niche will premiere in fall as an online-only retailer. Check the Web site for updates until then.
But before they go, a sale. A huge, mega sale, through Saturday, May 17, features 75 percent off all men and women's vintage clothing and accessories and all records are $6 or less. Get while the getting's good.
