Grab your wheels -- next week, May 14-18, is Milwaukee's Bike to Work Week. Making things even easier for novice bikers this year is Vulture Space, a brand-new non-profit that provides bike stands and tools to fix, maintain and build bicycles conveniently located inside The Shops of Grand Avenue.
128. New Garden Market blooming Downtown this month
The Blue (formerly known as the Reuss Federal Building and Plaza), 310 W. Wisconsin Ave., is adding a garden market to its outdoor plaza.
129. Employee rewards are nice and all, but ...
The title of a new book immediately caught my eye: "1501 Ways To Reward Employees." The author, Bob Nelson, Ph.D., is a leading authority on employee recognition, motivation and engagement. So many frozen yogurt shops have opened in the past year in Milwaukee, with more on deck for this summer. What's the deal? Wasn't frozen yogurt a product of the '90s?
132. Long live Grand Avenue Mall
The Shops of Grand Avenue, formerly called Grand Avenue Mall, is once again reinventing itself. And for Dave Begel, it seems promising. The mall is far from dead.

135. I'm no pusher man
I don't consider myself particularly naive, nor am I afraid to go into any neighborhood in the city. But if I wanted to unload prescription drugs at an immense profit, I would be at a total loss how or where to do so.
136. Westown knows what's up at this Downtown parking lot
Downtown Milwaukee has many under used parking garage roof tops and parking lots that are dying for off peak activity. So, hats off to the Westown Association for acting on their ideas to activate a parking lot this summer on 4th Street and Wisconsin Avenue.
137. Find out where Milwaukee ranks on "America's Hardest Working Towns" list

138. National Hardware nails good service
One of my favorite institutions, and most valuable, is National Hardware, which has a South Side location but which has been Downtown forever.

142. What makes you click?
Great headlines on the Web are more important than their counterparts in print because usually, you see them without any context. You can't scan the lede or see an accompanying photo. If they're ambiguous or truncated, forget it.

It's still the middle of March, but it's quite obvious the cycling season has begun regardless. To celebrate, Fyxation has teamed up with Milwaukee Bicycle Company (Ben's Cycle) and photographer Peter DiAntoni of COG Magazine (also based out of Milwaukee) to help promote their new contest by giving away a brand new State Bicycle Co. fixed gear bicycle, equipped with Fyxation components. I'm not a big natural foods guy, since I think chemicals and preservatives are what make the world go 'round. But I do like going to Whole Foods on occasion. My curiosity was piqued recently as I strolled through the fruit section.
150. Happy Match Day, Milwaukee
Nineteen nonprofits are participating in Match Day today. It's an online giving event and the first of its kind in Wisconsin designed to raise awareness for basic needs in the greater Milwaukee area.
