I remember Bill Murray as the voice of Garfield … and I wish there was another loveable creature someone like him could provide a voice for in a new movie … said no one ever.

But in the world of Hollywood and millions of people loving Grumpy Cat online, that translates to a feature film deal.

If you read internet headlines, and watch the stupid parts of morning news shows … you too can place a palm to your forehead repeatedly for this brilliant move making Grumps the next breakout star.

"We think we can build a big family comedy around this character," Broken Road film producer Todd Garner told Deadline.com.

The Arizona cat with a now-famous frown has a book, millions of fans on YouTube and Facebook and has a ton more money than you or I have. Unless you are super-rich and read this column … but I digress.

OUT: As predicted, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey are out of the judging business on "American Idol."

The official word broke on Twitter late on Thursday. Carey was first, telling her fans she is looking forward to her upcoming world tour. A few hours later Minaj tweeted it was time to focus on her music.

Earlier this year, Randy Jackson announced he was leaving the show, which saw its worst ratings in the 12 seasons it’s been on Fox. All that’s left is country music singer Keith Urban, who reportedly had the smallest paycheck on the table.

KRAMP: Brian Kramp and I talk about a number of shows coming back for a new season this summer on his latest Kramp-cast. Kramp also has a great interview with Sophie Turner, who plays heroine Sansa Stark on HBO's "Game Of Thrones."

You can listen to it here.

SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT: CBS Sports’ Ian Eagle sits down with "NCIS: Los Angeles" star LL Cool J and movie actor Ethan Hawke when he hosts an hour-long "CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR" special at 1 p.m. Saturday on WDJT-TV Ch. 58.

"The crossover between the world of entertainment and sports has never been more interwoven among daily events as Eagle visits with some of Hollywood's most celebrated personalities to talk sports," CBS said in a release.

LL Cool J shares several stories from the making of "Any Given Sunday," and Hawke talks about the New York Knicks and why he wishes he could have played the role of Branch Rickey in the Jackie Robinson film, "42."

AUTHOR COMICS: Bluewater Productions have put together a pair of biography comics on authors whose fiction work has crossed over into mainstream venues.

"Female Force: JK Rowling" written by Adam Gragg and illustrated by Matt Flyer offers a glimpse of the world behind the Harry Potter series

"From telling stories as a child, to being forced to go on welfare, and finally becoming one of the world's most famous writers, the story of Joanne Rowling is almost as magical as the world she created," the publisher said in a release.

Also available in print and digital editions is "Orbit: George R.R. Martin: The Power Behind the Throne." Here, writers JS Earls and Tom M. Smith artist JM Cuellar weave a tale of a comic book fan from Jersey who has created a universe filled with dragons and wonder.  Find out more at www.bluewaterprod.com.
