Dear MKE Film Series to shine a spotlight on Milwaukee

VISIT Milwaukee and Mayor Tom Barrett have announced the launch of the Dear MKE Film Series, a unique community collaboration that will provide an original new look at Milwaukee's story.

The year-long project will join a team of local businesses with Milwaukee native and Hollywood producer Jack Turner to capture profiles of the people, places and things that make Milwaukee special. Milwaukee's AboutFace Media and several local directors and production crews will also partner with Turner to complete a series of documentary shorts for the projects.

Dear MKE shorts will be released monthly, beginning with a premiere at the Milwaukee Film Festival this fall. The series will also be available throughout the city and online at DearMKE.com.

Dear MKE is part of a larger effort to redefine Milwaukee's perception in the eyes of visitors and others who aren't familiar with the many faces of the city's culture. For more information on the Dear MKE Film Series, visit DearMKE.com.
