We only ever seem to talk about beauty pageants when things go wrong ... and boy did they go wrong at the Miss Universe pageant this evening.

At the dramatic conclusion of the pageant, host Steve Harvey announced Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, as the winner – which would've been great if the winner wasn't actually Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. Harvey made the one unholy mistake of hosting: He misread his card, which led to the tremendously awkward and painful moment of Miss Colombia unceremoniously being literally decrowned as Miss Universe and watching the crown pop over to Miss Philippines. What an emotionally brutal moment ... let's watch it!

Man, Steve. You had one job.

The tomfoolery didn't end there either. Harvey quickly took to Twitter after his mistake to apologize to the contestants and to the audience. It was a very earnest and sincere apology. The only problem? He misspelled "Colombia" as "Columbia," as well as "Philippines" as "Philippians" – as in the New Testament book.

That original tweet has since been deleted and replaced with a correctly spelled one. And in other Miss Universe 2015 mishap-related entertainment, this:

So who actually won tonight? Obviously Miss Philippines won, and actually Miss Colombia won too for handling the whole incident seemingly like a champion. The Miss Universe pageant won because there's no way anybody would be talking this much about it without this massive gaff. We won because we got hours of Sunday night entertainment out of a goof.

And the biggest winner? Kenan Thompson of "SNL," because it's safe to say he immediately got back to perfecting his Steve Harvey impression for this upcoming weekend's show. The universe will be watching, Mr. Thompson.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
