FAMOUS PARADE: The Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps will be marching in the 88th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Nov. 27, in New York City. The group will include 426 current and alumni members performing several Christmas tunes.  The age range is from 15 to 75 and members will come from 40 states and six foreign countries.

The parade will be broadcast live on NBC and the Madison Scouts will be the final musical group in the parade, with television exposure during a one-minute and 15-second performance in front of Macy's flagship store and continuing coverage as the 426-member group splits to both sides of the street to usher Santa Claus into Herald Square as the parade comes to a conclusion.

IN THE AIR: Al Jazeera America will present the investigative documentary "Broken Dreams: The Boeing 787" at 6 p.m. tomorrow. In the program, an Al Jazeera investigation uncovers evidence and raises new questions about the safety of Boeing’s flagship Dreamliner plane.  Al Jazeera’s investigative team, led by Will Jordan, spent a year investigating the Dreamliner – a plane created to save fuel, improve comfort and boost profits.

On Jan. 16, 2013, a new 787 Dreamliner made an emergency landing at Takamatsu airport in western Japan, after one of the aircraft’s two lithium ion batteries caught fire. After another incident, the FAA grounded all 50 Boeing 787s, marking the first time an entire Boeing fleet had been forced from service.
