This week’s episode of "The Walking Dead" was a noticeably more calm episode, focusing on what happened to Sasha, Abraham and Daryl after the plan to lead the walkers away from Alexandria went awry. We find out that the three succeeded in leading the walkers, but was ambushed with gunfire by an unknown group of people. Daryl became separated from Sasha and Abraham on his motorcycle, leading him to the middle of the woods in a previously torched area. Sasha and Abraham crashed their car after their ambush and chose to hole themselves up in an office so that Daryl could track them down.

Slightly injured, Daryl is captured by three people who were obviously running from a group of people to which they thought Daryl belonged. Daryl’s captors are Kevin, Tina and Sherry, and they explain to him that they got themselves into hot water with their group because they stole, but only what was rightfully theirs.

The captors lead Daryl to a place where they were hoping to find "Patty." Daryl was able to escape due to one of the women conveniently collapsing. After escaping, he almost dies at the hands of a mossy walker after fumbling for his handy-dandy crossbow, which was stuck in the duffle bag he stole from Kevin, Tina and Sherry. Can this man get a break!?

Nevertheless, after a successful arrow-shot to the walker’s head, Daryl realizes that his captors left a case of insulin. The compassionate and gentle man that he is, Daryl chooses to bring the insulin back to the very ones who captured him. He exchanges the insulin for the gun that he was carrying before they took him hostage. This selfless act puts him in a compromising position, for the men whom the captors are fleeing from show up in a large truck, easily clearing trees as they hunt the group down. Daryl instinctively hands Kevin his gun for immediate protection, an act that would cause him even more trouble. While hidden from this mysterious group of evil men, Daryl manages to get all of them out of harm’s way.

The group comes across a burned down shelter, which inhabited some people that one of the women apparently knew. While examining the dead bodies, the diabetic woman is sadly killed by the burned walkers. Daryl leads the remaining two of his former captors to his bike, telling them that he has somewhere to be. Kevin proceeds to pull the gun on Daryl, forcing him to hand over his crossbow and his motorcycle. Luckily, Daryl is a smart son-of-a-gun who notices a fuel truck, labeled with "Pattrick Fuel Company" on the back, hidden in the torched woods; we now realize that Patty isn’t a person, but a way out of hellfire.

Meanwhile, throughout the episode, we see Abraham display risky behavior, which Sasha has no problem addressing. She tells him that his reckless behavior is dangerous and that he needs to pick and choose his battles because he’s always accountable for his actions, even after the world has ended. Restless and frustrated, Abraham is probably feeling guilt for his family that died after leaving him because of his drinking problem, and maybe all of the talk of permanently settling in Alexandria, and taking responsibility for his actions, is making him feel trapped in some way.

Either way, Abraham hasn’t been himself since the season began. He goes foraging for supplies and comes across a military Humvee which just so happens to have a case of rocket-propelled grenades and cigars. The launcher for the grenades is stuck on the back of a walker, stuck on a broken fence hanging off the side of a bridge. Abraham’s reckless nature takes him once more as he attempts to mount the unstable fence and take the launcher from the walker.

Realizing that he’s risking his life for something not so serious, he retreats and lights a cigar. The universe was obviously on his side because the dilapidated walker fell off of the fence, leaving easy access to the rocket launcher. Abraham returns to Sasha, donning a fresh military suit, with an apology. This wasn’t just any apology; he may or may not have insinuated that he wants to get to know Sasha on a more intimate level. This is a bit confusing to me, seeing that he’s been involved with Rosita. But who knows, maybe Sasha is his real soulmate!

Sasha and Abraham’s tender moment is followed-up by a moment of relief, with Daryl arriving with "Patty." Daryl, Sasha and Abraham began luckily began their journey back to Alexandria with their lives in tact. As they drive off, Abraham looks at the road behind them in the side mirror, signifying him leaving his past in the past for good. The last scene ends with Daryl trying to contact Rick with a walkie-talkie, only to hear someone scream, "Help!" Who on earth is screaming for help? Is it our beloved Glenn? I sure hope it is, but a lot of people are trying to shoot down my hopes and dreams with assuring me that Glenn is dead. The verdict is still out on Glenn’s fate, and we’ll hopefully find out what that fate is next week on "The Walking Dead."
