The Beastie Boys have announced selected tour dates, with special guests, in election battleground states and a Sunday, Nov. 2 show at the U.S. Cellular is one of the first three shows announced today.
Joining the trio here are Ben Harper, Crosby & Nash and Tenacious D. Representatives of Rock the Vote will also be on hand.
Guests at other shows include Sheryl Crow, Jack Johnson, Norah Jones and Santogold. The other two announced shows are in Richmond, Va. on Oct. 28 and St. Paul, Minn., Nov. 1.

the point was, that if you are so stupid as to support McCain, you are probably too dumb to make your way downtown. that was the joke. not very funny, maybe, but if you are still wearing a McCain shirt after the latest debate it would certainly be apt.

I'm just not a listener of Bob Dylan so I wouldn't have gotten the joke or lyric. Sorry. But do explain. I'm a McCain supporter, probably one of the biggest Beastie Boys fans around, and certainly know where the US Cellular Arena is, heck, I even saw the B-Boys there once.

hey, you know what? i apologize. crabby and sick this morning, and McCain's whole campaign has been rubbing me the wrong way, and i tried to make a stupid joke about the intelligence of McCain supporters and it fell flat. believe me, i wish there was a way to delete some of these posts.
